Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (450g)
  • 1/3 cup okara powder
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 10 shiso leaves
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Ingredients for baked Okara hamburgers

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 deg F/180 deg C.  Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Cut the stems off the shiso, wash and chop finely.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand until thoroughly integrated.

  • Form into six patties and place on the baking tray.

  • Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.  Turn and bake for 5 more minutes.
