This burger is soft and delicious, loaded with feta cheese and spinach. You can eat it on a bun, or as an entree that goes well with salad, rice, hummus or your favorite vegetables.

This is not a Japanese recipe – it’s actually a Turkish recipe that has been in my family for generations. My father’s parents emigrated from Turkey to the United States over 100 years ago. This is a recipe passed on from my grandmother to my father, and now I like to make it when I have an opportunity.
This burger is loaded with protein and very low in calories if you use lean ground beef. It’s very simple to make using feta cheese, chopped spinach, egg, salt, pepper, onion and allspice, all combined by hand and baked. No breading is added because the egg and the cheese do a great job of binding the pattie together.
