- Store leftover pecan pie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze the pie for up to 3 months; thaw in the fridge before serving.
- Serve the pie at room temperature or slightly warmed. Pair it with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra indulgence.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free graham crackers or a nut-based crust. Alternatively, you can use a traditional pie crust if preferred.
- Prepare the graham cracker crust a day in advance and store it covered at room temperature. The filling can also be made a day ahead; just combine before pouring it into the crust.
- By the way, instead of brown sugar, I use Japanese confectionery sugar called wasanbon. It gives the pie an almost candy like consistency and flavor. Give it a try!
